First Wednesday Dinner

First Wednesday Dinners return September 2! Join FUMC for dinner on the First Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. The cost of the meal is $5/person or $20 max/family. Vegetarian and child-friendly meal options are available.

Children’s Lemonade Stand Fundraiser

Following the worship service on September 13, stop by the FUMC Children’s Lemonade Stands! Cool down with a cup of lemonade and help the children raise money for the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank! All children through 5th grade are invited to participate. Parents and adult volunteers are needed to help set up. Please contact Kim English at kenglish@fumcwf.org to volunteer or for more information.

Methodist 101

Are you new to Methodism, or have you been part of the church for a while and still have questions about the church you belong to? Join Rev. Aaron Logan for Methodist 101 on Sunday afternoons, beginning September 13, in the Hospitality Room (110) from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. This six-week small group will explore the beliefs, practices, and traditions of the Methodist faith. Together, we’ll discuss topics such as infant baptism, the sacraments, creeds, and look at some important Methodist history. All are welcome—bring your questions and come ready to learn.

Breakfast Potluck

Join FUMC for a Breakfast Potluck on Sunday, September 20, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Atrium. Children’s Sunday School will begin at 9:30 a.m.

2026 Elizabeth Prothro Organ Concert

Join FUMC for the 2026 Elizabeth Prothro Organ Concert on Sunday, October 4, at 3 p.m. in the Sanctuary. This event is free to attend. Nursery care will be available for infants six weeks old through age 4.

2026 Fall Bible Study Retreat

Explore the Sermon on the Mount at the 2026 Fall Bible Study Retreat, Flourish: How to Live a Transformed Life, led by Charles Harrison on Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Wichita Falls.

The retreat costs $35; lunch is provided. Register online. Registration and payment are due by October 8. Please make checks payable to “First Christian Church.” Scholarships are available. Contact Georgia Harrison at gharrison@fumcwf.org for more information.
