The Importance of Hospitality

At First United Methodist Church, we recognize the importance of ensuring every step of your journey with us, from the moment you arrive in the parking lot, is met with ease and warmth. We understand the challenges of parking, unloading, and navigating to the right entrance, and we’re committed to smoothing out these experiences for our members and guests.

Indeed, the parking lot serves as the initial point of contact for many visitors. It’s more than just a space for vehicles; it’s an opportunity for hospitality to shine. With this in mind, we continuously seek innovative ways to enhance the experience of everyone who arrives on our campus. Recently, you might have noticed our newest addition to the FUMC fleet: our golf cart.

FUMC Wichita Falls Launches New Parking Lot Ministry

Excitingly, we’re launching our Parking Lot Ministry, incorporating this versatile vehicle to elevate our hospitality and create a welcoming environment right from the start. This initiative is particularly beneficial for individuals facing mobility challenges, such as seniors or those with disabilities, for whom navigating our campus can be daunting. Moreover, families with children and their accompanying belongings can find crossing parking lots a significant challenge.

Hospitality is at the core of our mission. We firmly believe that extending a warm welcome and providing assistance isn’t merely a courtesy; it’s essential for nurturing a sense of belonging and community. By offering a helping hand and a friendly smile, we aim to create an atmosphere where everyone feels valued, accepted, and supported, regardless of whether they’re long-time members or first-time guests.

Whether you’re looking for guidance, a friendly face, or just a reassuring smile, rest assured that First United Methodist Church is dedicated to ensuring your visit is a pleasant and hassle-free experience. Our golf cart will be available before Sunday school from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m., before worship from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m., and after worship at 11:30 a.m.
