As Reading with Friends has made a permanent home at FUMC, we would like to create a permanent children’s library space in our church home. We would love to have a library that can be accessed by our neighbors and community, as well as Reading with Friends participants and School for Little People families.
Our hope is to promote literacy in a safe and encouraging atmosphere.
We would love for our church family to be a part of this! We are looking for gently used or new books for Kindergarten through 8th-grade reading levels to add to our library. We have compiled a list of book requests, but you are welcome to donate any favorites you may have. We also want to give the option to dedicate the books to a special person or family of your choice—if you would like to dedicate your donation, please write your name and dedication on a separate sheet of paper placed inside the book.
We will be printing labels to place inside the books to note your dedication.
We look forward to launching this new ministry of our church this summer! Please bring donations to either the church office, Julia Lamberth, or Sarah Pellikan by June 1.
