“Souper” Bowl Sunday

We’re making Super Bowl Sunday “Souper” for our neighbors in need!

Help us keep the pantry at Interfaith Outreach Services stocked by donating cans of soup. During worship services on January 21st and 28th, we will be handing out paper bags that will hold 4-6 cans each. We are asking each family to take at least one bag, fill it with soup cans, and return it by Sunday, February 4th. If you would like to take extra bags and invite your friends and neighbors to participate, you are more than welcome to do so!

Last year, we donated 1,307 cans of soup through this drive. Our idea was picked up by Trinity Lutheran, who donated 40 cans, and a member of our TV family, Mary Wisdom of Saint Jo, reached out to her neighbors with this idea and together they collected 162 cans. These were donated locally to the Living Word Food Pantry. Altogether, last year’s drive resulted in 1,509 cans of soup donated – that’s over 3,000 meals!
