Holiday De-Stress: Taking the Stress Out of the Season

Starting November 19, Rev. John McLarty will take us through a series of sermons designed to help us relieve some holiday stress and focus on the most important thing: our relationship with God. We will take a look at gratitude (Nov. 19), decorations (Nov. 26), generosity (Dec. 3), worship (Dec. 10), slowing down (Dec. 17), helping others (Dec. 24 – morning), and remembering the “reason for the season,” Jesus Christ (Dec. 24 – evening). If you’re already ready to pull your hair out stressing over the holidays and are looking for ways to find some peace, this is the series for you.

As part of our focus on a less stressful holiday season, we are offering Weekday Wonder during the noon hour the week of December 18-22. The Sanctuary will be open from 12-1 pm Monday-Friday that week for anyone to use as a quiet space for individual prayer, meditation, or simply a little peace and quiet in the middle of the day. Our brilliant organist, Kiyo Watanabe, will play quietly during this time.

We look forward to seeing you this Advent season!
