Lost Scriptures:
Books That Did Not Make It into the New Testament

Join us in this study of early Christian documents that did not make it into the Bible!

To guide the study, we’ll use a video series featuring Dr. Bart D. Ehrman, a professor at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition, it is recommended that you purchase a copy of the book, Lost Scriptures: Books that Did Not Make It into the New Testament for $12, though it is not required. The book is edited by Dr. Ehrman as well.

Books that we will cover include:

  • The Gnostic Gospel of Truth
  • The Coptic Gospel of Thomas
  • Infancy Gospels
  • The Gospel of Peter
  • The Secret Gospel of Mark
  • The Acts of John / Thomas / Paul / Thecla
  • The Epistle of Barnabas
  • The Apocalypse of Peter
